Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff. I am Greek, was born and raised there, and I have never tasted any food that reminded me of back home until my wife and I had dinner at Mati. It is definitely the best place to visit if you are in the Detroit area. We will visit again for sure.
This place is wonderful! Wish I lived closer but honestly we will be making the 3 hour trip again very soon just for the delicious grilled octopus! The drinks were great and the desserts were even better! The decor was gorgeous as well, made me feel like I was back in Greece.
I would say this is the best greek restaurant in Greektown. The food is authentic greek with a beautiful backdrop with attentive and friendly staff. The octopus was insanely tender, the meat platter was cooked perfectly and seasoned. I had the cucumber mojito, the bartender did a fantastic job. I can't say enough good things about this place.
What an incredible place, GREAT food and ambiance. The staff is amazing! I highly recommend you go, their calamari was very fresh, their margaritas were amazing but the best was the desert, an orange cake that was mind blowing. Dont think twice. Come!!
Went here before the Lions game and every dish we had was outstanding. Octopus, saganaki, Villsge salad apps. The main dishes the roasted chicken was so moist and made perfect on the rotisserie. My wife had the Salmon and equally delicous. This will be our new stop before the Lions game.
